What a remarkable experience. Joshua was an incredible guide. His pride in his culture and knowledge about their fishing practices and archeology may the tour come alive. Visiting the expansive archaeological village site, where they've identified almost 100 pit houses (the traditional winter homes of the St’át’imc people) was an absolute highlight for me. The location is really beautiful and learning about the homes inside a modern reproduction helped give insight into their ancient living practices. The salmon BBQ was a bonus--making the whole tour an excellent value.

We had just a one hour tour but we learnt so much from Daryl about the First Nation community and how they have lived and evolved over the last 2,500 years. I highly recommend the tour with Xwísten Experience Tours to fully understand the history of the area and the people who have lived in this land for so long. The salmon meal was absolutely delicious and perhaps the nicest salmon we have tasted (Scottish salmon is nothing on this). Please do book and support this local tour business. It really is a small community enterprise — they meet you in a lay-by and not a posh office — and your spend supports the community and enhances your knowledge on the history of the area and the community of British Columbia.

Darrel is a great tour guide. Very experienced and knowledgeable. Total time was about five hours (including the wait for the bridge). Would have given five stars but our salmon was overcooked… 🙁 Otherwise it was great!

Це місце ми побачили з оглядового майданчика по дорозі в Лілуєт, чиста вода річки Брідж впадала в бурхливі та брудні води річки Фрезер і це виглядало досить красиво та неприродньо тож ми вирішили поїхати туди. Шкода що ми вже потім дізналися про цей заклад та чудових людей які там працюють, ми обов'язково до вас завітаємо та скуштуємо смачної місцевої кухні із сушеним лососем 👍💯

Outstanding experience! We learned about Xwisten past and present, and the landscape. Darryl and Michelle were great. Darryl's demonstration of traditional filet technique with a salmon outstanding. Update 2023: finally got to return!! Another great experience. Thanks to Nicky and Elaine for the tour and Dave for the salmon steaks!

We learned about the fishing habits, traditions and housing of the indigeneous people. Afterwards they prepared us a traditional meal with salmon and indian ice cream.

A beautiful area, and great chili fries. Darryl gave me a demonstration how to fish with a net on the pole. I'll be back for the full tour next time. Thanks for the telling me about the camping spots in the area.
