This was my first time trying Filipino food and mentioned it to the staff. They were more than happy to suggest favorite food items and were excited to share their culture. This spot isn’t just for ordering food, you can shop some snacks and candy items from the Philippines. I enjoyed the food so much I decided to get some items too.

I ordered to go. The food was delicious. I loved the tiny wings in the chicken adobo. The BBQ chicken stick was a bit dry but the taste and flavors were there. The vegetable lumpia was more like an egg roll not a lumpia which was a bit disappointing because I love the size of the lumpia’s. They tasted great, BUTTTTTT AND THIS IS A BIG BUT. There was a long piece of plastic in the lumpia. Thank god I didn’t end up eating it. The pancit was perfect. Over all I give it for 4 stars for the dry chicken and the plastic in my food, but flavor wise everything was absolutely delicious.

This has been our favorite (carenderia-style) filipino restaurant since we started coming here nearly a decade ago! Their food is authentic & consistent quality! We even find ourselves comparing other restaurants we visit like Barrio Fiesta or other carenderia-style restaurants, to MJ's food quality standard. They have a constant stream of regular customers, which is further observed in the fact that their food is never dry, as it's never sitting out for long & therefore always being refilled with fresh batches throughout the day. Their breakfast often sells out before 8am & popular dishes often sell out an hour or two before closing. They have a vast selection of dishes, from kakanin to pulutan to hard to find specialties like Burong Isda to all your favorite entrees. Their catering is also fairly priced, and they are so efficient that some things can be ordered & fulfilled in the same day, if you're in a pinch. Our favorite dish to brag about is their sisig, which they make in a chunky meaty style. (Pro tip: We love to take it home & serve it as a delicious fusion taco, in our multicultural household!)

This is a truly unassuming, hole-in-the-wall GEM that is worth coming back to for all your nostalgic cravings!

Good Filipino food. The yellow chicken curry with potatoes and Sisig were delicious. Pancit was good too but I had better. Halo Halo with ice cream is always good after a Filipino meal.

We were looking for a place to eat before heading to our flight and we needed a place to fill us and found this place. Great filipino food here. Very generous. The outside looked sketchy, and it looked closed because it boarded out with wooden planks, but it was actually open. There were people dining in. They also had filipino snacks. Would eat there again if we went for another vacation!

The staff are nice and friendly. I like the pork sisig, liempo, chicken afritada and desserts-turon, ube, leche flan and suman here. These are the usual things we order at MJ’s.
