When we first arrived, there was no one at the front desk. We called out but no one was around. Finally, after about 15 minutes, we found someone to check us in. Our room was on the 3rd floor because my husband wanted a balcony overlooking the harbor which was nice. But, we had to climb up 3 flights of stairs to get to our room! We were not happy about that as we both have bad knees and to carry up our belongings was brutal! Our room overall was nice, fridge was handy, bed was comfortable and we loved the balcony.
Cons: no shampoo or soap in the shower and no blow dyer! And speaking of shower, it was difficult to get into as the tub was very high and no grab bar in the shower. The shower head must be clogged as hardly any water was coming out of it. To pay this amount of money and this is what we get? Definitely not worth it. Almost $700 for 2 nights.

I cannot express how beautiful this establishment is. The staff works their butts off to make everything perfect. From check in to helping to get the paddle boat ready.
It is a must to stay. Fully secure and safe. The view from the walk out balcony is out of this world. Please visit.

We very much wanted to enjoy this little inn on the water - and the location was beautiful - but the shabbiness was disappointing. The front door is covered in thick cobwebs. The lounge was nice, but the door with an “ice machine” sign on it was just full of dusty Christmas decorations. The room contained too much outdated, tattered furniture that did not fit in it comfortably. The floor was concerning - the wood-look laminate as peeling up and it was spongy to walk on. The shower dripped all night. The bathroom floor was wet when we arrived. The fiberglass shower had an empty hand soap dispenser that I think was meant to hold shampoo. The walls were so thin we could hear everyone around us talking and moving around their rooms. There was no lock on the sliding door. But the worst , sadly, was bed! The mattress was so old and saggy that we tossed and turned all night and woke up with aching backs. I suspect they put a plastic cover or something under the sheet, because I so sweaty- even though I had no top sheet on and the air conditioner was running. I was so looking forward to this stay, but it was just so disappointing.

The location is amazing and so was the walk out patio outside the room that we were given. However, the bed and mattress were extremely uncomfortable and need to be changed…..like now! Overall, good but needs attention to maintenance.

Room was very hot, only 1 windows worked and the ceiling fan was broken.

That said, very beautiful city and great location.

This is one of our favourite hotels for a short getaway. That being said, it is definitely in need of some TLC. Initially when I booked 5 months ago, I had requested a ground floor room, and was really disappointed to find we were on the TOP floor, having to climb 4 sets of stairs, which appeared to have recently had the carpeting ripped up and not replaced. Having some mobility issues, I was not very happy with that, and was told that you need to call directly to ensure you get the room you want.. kind of makes booking online pointless IMO. I would definitely have booked for another date, had I known I was going to have to climb stairs every day.|The room itself was large and had a great view. The king size mattress was terribly soft and made for some sore backs come morning. Cleaning could have been a bit more thorough... dirt on the fans, spiderwebs in the corners.|Nice bathroom, and I love the big jacuzzi tub... such a treat! |Continental breakfast was adequate and the deck is nice to enjoy the view. It could stand with some restaining though. They have added a cute little gazebo and firepit just off the deck which is nice too.|The location is perfect, close to shops, beach and restaurants, and the staff are friendly, if (I believe) short handed. Front doors are locked between 5-6:30 so make sure you don't have any requests after that, as you'll have to call someone back on site.|All in all, it's still a great place to stay... the management just needs to bring it up to snuff, for the rates they're charging.

Booked our two night stay here after seeing the property while on an earlier stay at an AirBnb property. We both thought it looked very nice, and the location can’t be beat being walking distance to two fabulous beaches, so we wanted to give it a try for our summer vacation. However, looks can be deceiving. From the outside things initially look well kept, however our stay revealed that there are definitely areas for improvement. Put simply, it seems like they are shooting for boutique hotel, but running more like a Motel 8. Which would the fine, but they aren’t charging Motel 8 prices. Simple things in our room could easily be fixed to make a more pleasant stay; replace the stained toilet seat, fix the leaking shower head that is destroying the drywall, paint the baseboard that is forming mould in the bathroom, clean up the rats nest of wires hanging out of the TV, etc. All not a big cost, but it seems that management here has all but given up. Even the common areas are rife with broken and dilapidated furniture. Staff are great, and were super helpful, but it’s time for a shake up at the top if this property is going to thrive. Personally, we’ll definitely stay elsewhere if we choose to return to this quaint little town.
