I recently visited Gwenie’s, and it was an absolute delight! The moment I walked in, the aroma of freshly baked goods was irresistible. Every pastry I tried was a masterpiece—flaky, buttery, and bursting with flavor. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, helping me choose from their wide selection of treats. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee with a delicious dessert. This is hands down the best pastry shop and I can’t wait to come back for more! So excited that a Gwenie’s has opened in North Frederick! I have been going all the way to Rockville to get treats and a birthday cake for my daughter-in-law, who has Filipina heritage. I had a delicious latte while the lovely staff packed up cupcakes, sylvanas, and a scrumptious traditional sans rival cake, her favorite, for me. I will be a regular customer here!

Very nice assortment of pastries! The person working the counter took their time to explain each and every item I inquired about. The atmosphere is great if you want to bring a friend to have coffee and pastries while you chat. VERY nice decor, very relaxing. I'll definitely return.

We have been wanting to try UBE desserts for a while now and found Gwenie's in Frederick. When you first walk in, you are greeted with the wonderful smell of all things sweet! When I tell you that you are missing out if you haven't gone there, please believe it! The donuts were fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. We got an UBE and a Nutella donut and they were both fantastic! The service is fast, friendly, and patient. We will frequent this place more often! It is highly recommended to give it a try!!

Gwenie's Pastries on Shorebird is such a great quality bakery with amazing service! They're a Filipino bakery so you'll find goodies such as Ube, Pandan, and Mango cake slices as well as DOUGHNUTS. Advise to arrive before afternoon in order to get fresh picks. They also have really rich and creamy Leche flan!!! The best I've had. Their baked goods make me feel all ＼(^o^)／on the inside

Super adorable and nice atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff! We got a slice of ube pie and one of each donut and all of it was delicious! I’m not usually one for filed donuts because I don’t like custard but the filling is light and airy almost like a mousse and it is so good! Looking forward to trying more! 🙂

I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the coffee here. Many places struggle to make well-balanced espresso drinks, but this café excels at it. The coffee was perfectly crafted, full of flavor without being overwhelming. On top of that, the customer service was exceptional—friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is beautifully designed, making it a great spot to enjoy a quality coffee experience. Highly recommended!
