**Editing my review from a 1 star, to 3 stars because Ebony spoke to her supervisor Judy, and got approval to refund me for my double payment. I hate that I had to go through all of this and still wish they’d update their protocol in these situations, but she did call me back the next day as promised, and I appreciated that.

Complete joke! I’m enrolled in Autopay for a reason! Come to find out they will not process your payment on a weekend which will put your account in a ‘Past Due’ status. I decided to go ahead and pay my bill today, only to be double charged! Called to have this situation fixed and I was placed on hold several times being told a bunch of nothing. Finally spoke to Ebony, and was told there’s nothing she can do. They have no problem double charging and taking your money but play dumb when you ask for them to refund it. Terrible customer service with no training. What is the point of enrolling in Autopay if it causes a lapse in payment on their part because they “don’t process on weekends”!? Incredibly frustrating! I work way too hard to be treated like this as a paying customer!! I was told Judy Smith will give me a call tomorrow to POSSIBLY rectify this…. I won’t hold my breath!!

Ebony was wonderful. She took the time to research my issue. She sent a tech out immediately to check for a possible leak. Call me with the results and emailed me a usage chart all sitting hours. Amazing customer service!!

Signed up for electronic billing and no paper statements. Bill DOES NOT come then hit w/ a BS late fee on several occasions this year. When I called to have the charges removed because I was literally never billed I was told “We don’t handle the electronic statements, you need to call that company and figure it out yourself.”

Terrible customer service.

For any employees reading this, please attempt to work with your garbage billing company and get this figured out ASAP.

*UPDATE - 1 DAY AFTER POST*

Amy reached out today and verified the e-billing vendor has had issues and stated I should be checking online and not relying solely on the e-billing company. She did agree to waive some fees and provided her personal line to check in with her next month. She was nice to work with. I appreciate the update and follow up. As such, upping review from 1 star to 4 stars as the real issue is with their e-billing vendor.

I've been a customer for almost 20 years. It's ridiculous how some months I get the bill and then I won't get it for a month. Which just happened so I came home to no water today! No warning, nada. Then I had a lovely experience with a rude person at customer service who told me I have to wait until tomorrow to get it back on. I have a great payment history so I don't understand this pathetic service. I've never had a utility abruptly shut off before and I definitely don't appreciate today's horrible experience and service. Perhaps an updated computer system and customer service would help.

Very poor customer service! I have lived in Jefferson for 17 years and have paid my bill without fail. Then last month I misplaced a bill and it didn't get paid. The following bill that I did receive had the balance of 2 months on it and a due date of 3/1/21. I scheduled my payment in full for 2/25/21. On 2/24/21 they shut off my water. No warning. Nothing on the bill about a past due amount that must be paid or the water gets turned off. Nothing. I call and all I get is "I'm sorry." They won't do anything to help me today. So frustrating!!
