Small site but it was incredible that basically everything in the home was actually used in that time period. The workers were very nice and knowledgeable, and the house was well kept and beautiful. Lots of history!

We visited late-May. A former fish plantation since the early 1700s, the oldest wooden house in Newfoundland is located at this site. The house was also the property of Senator F. Gordon Bradley, the leader of the Newfoundland Confederation movement in the late 1940s. It's interesting to walk through and see how people used to live back in the day. It was also interesting to learn of how fishermen lived, such as using the truck system to obtain supplies as opposed to buying supplies outright with money.

Had a lovely visit today! The interpreters did and excellent job telling us about the site and talking about its importance to Newfoundland. We'll be going back for a walk tonight when it's dark to see if there's any truth to the ghost stories!

Cool place to visit with lots of history about Newfoundland. If you are lucky, there will be icebergs floating by...very cool!

Awesome experience for all ages! Amazing artifacts from the era and great people. They have tours and even games for kids to play I would suggest setting side and hour or more to see everything this beautiful plantation has to offer!
