Never again. Ordered 5 days in advance. Get to the store, waited 30 minutes just to get to the register to tell them I had an order placed. They told me it would be 1 hour. What the heck is the use of ordering ahead? If they had told me I had to come and pay first I would have, but lady on the phone just took my order. Can't rely on a place like this if you need food for a party, it will be hit or miss. Wait time would be about 90 minutes if you want turon.

I have heard about this bakery from my Filipino friends many times. My friends always order a party tray of fried bananas. I decided to pay a visit.
My friend and I bought 5 different desserts, and they are all pretty good.

The big baseball-like friend coconut balls were my favorite. 4 in one skewer. (Sorry I don't know the name..) It's crunchy outside with a thin layer of sugar coating, so it won't be soggy even when it's cooled down. Inside is the chewy coconut, the texture is like Boba.

Fried Banana: This is wrapped with spring roll skin and deep-fried. It also has a thin layer of sugar coating. The tartness of the banana filling and the sweet and crunchy skin is the perfect combination.

Ube rice cake, sell-by small box: The texture is chewy but not with a strong Ube taste.

Bamboo cup rick cake, sell-by big box: this cup cake's cup is bamboo leaves. So these rice cakes have the aroma of bamboo leaves. The texture is more like a honeycomb cake but chewier.

Halo Halo (drink): This drink is so colorful, but not my favorite. I was expecting to have a coconut milk base drink, but it's a condensed milk base drink. Inside has cut papaya pieces and some jello-like stuff. It's not bad, but I prefer coconut milk drinks better.

這家菲律賓人其實這家是老店了。幾乎問菲律賓人都會知道。每次party只要有菲律賓朋友，都會吃到這家訂的炸香蕉。
下面講一下我今天試的甜點
先申明一下我甜點的名字都亂取的，因為也看不懂，但是會盡力忠於原味，所以去買不會買錯)

超大顆圓圓炸椰子球(4顆一串): 這個因為很大一顆，看起來炸的就很好吃。外皮是炸的脆脆的再裹上糖衣，裡面是像波霸那種口感的椰子球，QQ的。這是我的最愛。
紫色的發粿(一盒賣): 樣子就真的是像發粿，但口感卻也是QQ的。紫色貌似是Ube，但吃不出來。但是是口感好吃的發粿。

炸香蕉(一條條賣的): 炸香蕉是用春捲皮捲的，之後炸脆脆也裹上一層薄薄的糖衣，所以放涼了吃還是脆脆滴！這個口感已經不用說，脆脆的很香口很讚，而且甜加上帶有一點點酸味的香蕉內餡(可能是偏綠的香蕉還是會不會是芭蕉呢?!)，可以一次吃三條不會膩。

粽葉杯子米蛋糕: 這個顧名思義就是用粽葉做成的杯子考的米蛋糕。這裡面的口感雖然也是QQ的，但裡面的發酵貌似不同，所以有如蜂巢一樣的洞洞，像白糖糕那樣，而且帶有粽葉香。我個人覺得好吃但還是偏好脆口的東西。但這是我朋友的最愛。所以得試試才知道哪個是泥們的最愛囉！

Halo Halo(飲料甜品):照片五彩繽紛的，所以我跟朋友忍不住也來一杯。結果跟我預期的不同，因為我以為這會跟越南餐一樣，裡面加上五顏六色像是果凍、脆圓內類的東西。但裡面是木瓜塊啦！一塊攪了很久也化不開的紅豆團、吃起來像台灣的蜜餞四果冰那種蜜餞(疑?這樣會不會反而圈粉...)最重要的白白的底不是濃濃的椰奶，而是煉奶牛奶水。這會是不愛椰奶味的人的選擇。

This place is a known secret in the Walnut community, I know this because they are always busy and sometimes run out of what I like ?. To be honest this place has a letter B and I don’t know why but everything I buy here is amazing. This would be classified as a Filipino bakery but don’t be worried about what to try or how to order. This bakery has a whole bunch of tasty snacks just sitting on the table when you walk in. Try any of those items and you are bound to find something new and tasty you will love. My top picks are fried banana, coconut anything and the hopya ube. This is normally referred to as Taro. A purple perfectly sweetened snack. Never to sweet. Leaving you to crave another bite hoping it’s going to be sweeter but instead it just hits the sweet spot. Sometimes referred to as purple Yam. Try this place out I always aim to try something new and I’m not even Filipino.

This place has been here a long time, since I was a kid my mom would buy things from here. Never had a complaint about the food and they are great with customers. Came here recently for a small catering order for my mom. Everything was ready and packed to go. They were super friendly as usual. The food came out great and a hit at the event. Everything from. This place is great and they have a good selection of foods to choose from. Hope this place stays forever as it it also the closest to my parents home.

The best turon! Just the right sweetness and the banana is perfectly ripe. Tita Girlie is a sweetheart. She reminds me of my auntie. So sweet and accommodating. I love kalahi bakery! Their pastillas is also yummy!
